Tax Policy
You agree that you as buyer and we as seller are responsible for determining the amount of sales, use or other taxes that you may owe as a result of your Marketplace purchase. You also agree that as seller we are responsible to collect, to report and to remit any sales, use or other taxes as may be required under applicable law. You agree (a) that Rakuten.com has no responsibility to collect, report or remit sales, use or any other applicable taxes in connection with your purchase, and (b) to fully indemnify, defend and hold Rakuten.com harmless from any and all claims, demands, damages, awards, fines, costs, expenses and liability in any way associated with foregoing. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Rakuten.com currently automatically charges sales tax with respect to any marketplace products shipped to California.
We do not currently ship to PO Boxes, APO Boxes, or FPO Boxes. We use a variety of shippers, some of whom do not allow delivery to PO Boxes. To prevent the need to cancel your order after it has been placed, we do not allow orders to ship to any PO Boxes for any orders. Additionally, there are certain restrictions on exporting certain kinds of technology outside of the United States. These restrictions complicate or prevent our suppliers from shipping products to APO or FPO mailboxes. As a result, we do not ship to any APO Boxes or FPO Boxes.
If we shipped and sold your item, then you can return those items to us within thirty (30) days of the ship date. This policy does not apply if a different return policy is stated on the item's listing information. Please return your unused item with hang tags and original packaging still in tact at the buyer's expense within 30 days of receipt. Once received and inspected in our warehouse, a refund will be made to your original form of payment. Defective or damaged items are to be returned to the manufacturer to be covered under the manufacturers warranty. Shipping fees are non refundable. Luggagedesigners wants you to love your luggage that's why we offer a 30 day return policy on all our products. If you feel it is not the piece for you simply return the item to us within 30 days of your ship date in the original packing and un-used with all labels and hang tags. The buyer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. Tracking information is suggested for verification of returns. Once an item has been placed on a truck for delivery, shipping costs have been incurred. Any cancellation of that shipment is at the cost of the buyer after shipping cost have been incurred. If an item is returned because of incorrect delivery information any shipping costs will be deducted from the order. A 10% restocking fee will be charged for returned items over $250. No restocking fee will be charged for shipping errors caused by Luggagedesigners. Damaged items or defective items must be returned to the manufacturer for replacement or repairs.
